We are seeking a Senior Principal or Vice President of Capital Formation to join our team and play a critical leadership role in fundraising and investor relations. This individual will be instrumental in driving all aspects of capital raising, cultivating strong relationships with institutional investors, and representing the firm’s platform and investment strategies to the market.

Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising & Investor Engagement
- Lead capital raising activities across the firm’s funds, serving as a primary voice of the client internally.
- Develop and maintain deep, trusted relationships with Limited Partners (LPs) including pensions, endowments, family offices, consultants, and other institutional investors.
- Map, target, and engage prospective investors not currently in the firm’s ecosystem.
- Build and manage a pipeline of fundraising opportunities, prioritizing and tracking progress using CRM systems.
- Drive capital commitments from target investors by providing tailored, commercially relevant solutions.
Fund Strategy & Representation
- Articulate the firm’s philosophy, products, and platform to highlight differentiating characteristics and competitive advantages.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to execute the go-to-market fundraising strategy and lead fundraising assignments as a “Deal Captain.”
- Represent the firm’s strategies, investments, portfolio companies, and overall activity to prospective and current LPs.
Communication & Investor Relations
- Foster seamless communication across the Capital Formation and Investor Relations (CF/IR) team and broader investment teams.
- Provide consistent updates to internal stakeholders and leadership on fundraising milestones and investor feedback.
- Maintain a high level of transparency and service excellence for both existing and prospective investors.
Product Specialization
- Build and maintain deep expertise across the firm’s core investment capabilities and emerging offerings.
- Develop a strong understanding of portfolio holdings and strategy-level activities to act as a credible and informed partner to LPs.
- Serve as a key liaison between internal deal teams and external investors.
Experience & Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in a sales, fundraising, or investor relations capacity, ideally within private markets or alternative investments.
- Proven success in closing institutional capital commitments across diverse geographies and strategies.
- Direct experience with long-duration, private market investment strategies strongly preferred.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of driving initiatives to completion.
- Quantitative proficiency and strong corporate finance acumen, including the ability to understand complex investment committee materials, return analyses, and strategy positioning.
- Expertise in understanding LP priorities, constraints, and decision-making processes, with the ability to interact effectively with senior-level LP professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high standard of service excellence with clients and prospects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required. Advanced degrees or certifications (MBA, CPA, CFA, CAIA) are preferred.
