We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Manager, HR Operations to lead and elevate HR operational excellence across the USA and Canada. This role plays a critical part in delivering consistent, compliant, and high-quality HR services while partnering closely with global leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of all HR operational processes for employees in the USA and Canada.
- Ensure full regulatory and compliance adherence.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Hands-On Leadership and Team Development
- Lead and actively participate in HR and payroll operations.
- Coach and mentor team members to drive performance, learning, and accountability.
- Foster a culture of growth, inclusivity, and high performance.
Strategic and Operational HR Management
- Implement HR initiatives aligned with global strategy.
- Optimize HR services across policy, benefits, and recruitment operations.
- Apply deep functional HR knowledge to strengthen service delivery.
Process Standardization
- Partner with regional HR leaders to establish standardized operating procedures.
- Deliver consistent employee experiences across HR operations.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Maintain strong knowledge of employment legislation in the USA and Canada.
- Implement risk controls and ensure legal compliance.
- Promote ethical practices and embed company values in all HR decisions.
HR Operations Leadership
- Serve as a member of the Global HR Operations Leadership Team.
- Represent North America interests in global HR strategy.
- Act as part of the US and Canada HR leadership team.
Vendor Management
- Manage regional HR service providers.
- Ensure contract compliance and high performance.
- Partner with procurement and HR leadership on negotiations.
Analytics and Reporting
- Ensure data integrity across HR systems.
- Utilize analytics to identify bottlenecks, automation opportunities, and process improvements.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Professional Experience
- Minimum 6 years of HR Operations experience.
- At least 3 years in a leadership role in a large, changing environment.
- Experience supporting USA and Canada operations strongly preferred.
HR Operations Proficiency
- Expertise in managing multiple HR processes with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Deep understanding of HR policies, procedures, and compliance.
Benefits Administration
- 5 years managing health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Experience managing complex open enrollment, vendor coordination, and benefits brokers.
- Strong ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA knowledge.
- Expertise in retirement plan administration and compliance.
Recruiting Operations
- Full-cycle recruitment support experience.
- Proficiency with ATS and HRIS platforms.
- Strong coordination skills for high-volume hiring support.
Leave Management
- Experience with FMLA, ADA, parental leave, and statutory leaves.
- Knowledge of leave tracking, medical certifications, and return-to-work processes.
Payroll Support
- Experience supporting US and Canada payroll processing.
- Knowledge of payroll audits, tax withholdings, and timekeeping systems.
- Strong understanding of wage and hour laws.
Technical Proficiency
- Experience with HR Shared Services models.
- Oracle HCM Cloud preferred; Workday and SAP SuccessFactors also valued.
