Position Overview

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager to ensure smooth daily operations. This role helps lead the team, uphold our culture, and keep the store running at 100%.

When the Store Manager is off, you are the leader on duty — especially nights and weekends.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Culture

• Lead by example in attitude, work ethic, food safety, and product quality
• Build strong relationships with team and community
• Create a positive, engaging work environment
• Support and communicate company initiatives

Hiring & Team Development

• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training Scoop Crew
• Support team development, evaluations, raises, and promotions
• Help improve retention and team morale

Scheduling & Labor

• Assist with scheduling and labor forecasting
• Help maintain full store coverage
• Assist with shift coverage (step in when necessary)

Operations

• Regularly work the floor (scooping, baking, cleaning, etc.)
• Assist with ordering, inventory, and supply runs
• Complete bank deposits and change runs as needed
• Uphold all food safety and quality standards

Marketing & Community

• Support local marketing and community outreach
• Help execute store-level strategic initiatives

Scheduling Requirements

• Minimum 22 hours per week
• At least 4 shifts per week
• Close 2 of 3 weekend nights (Fri/Sat/Sun)
• Close 1–2 additional nights
• Open one weekend morning
• Flexible to step in when needed
