Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage table settings, ensuring each table is clean, properly set, and ready for new guests
- Clear and buss tables efficiently, removing dishes and resetting for the next guests while maintaining sanitation standards
- Assist with food service by delivering dishes from the kitchen to tables when needed
- Support safe manual handling practices when lifting heavy items such as trays or large tableware
- Maintain cleanliness in all dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate seating arrangements and ensure smooth service flow
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is valued
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices
- Knowledge of sanitation, food safety, and hygiene standards within the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform cleaning duties for extended periods
