Private Duty Aide (CNA or GNA)- Flex
Responsibilities
To provide care to patients at Colombiere Jesuit House in Baltimore (5704 Roland Ave)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists patient with activities of daily living, to include bathing, mouth care, shampoo, shaving, transferring, repositioning, feeding, toileting, etc.
- Maintains clean and comfortable environment by changing bed linens and performing light housekeeping. Does client’s laundry and prepares meals. Maintains safe environment through use of bed rails, safety devices and proper placement of equipment.
- Organizes work to meet client’s needs and to make good use of time. Adapts work to home environment while consistently following agency policy.
- Performs nursing assistant duties, to include foley catheter care, enema, dressing changes and decubitus care, as instructed under the direction of a licensed professional nurse.
- Listens actively and encourages family members to verbalize feelings and concerns.
- Reinforces nurse’s instructions to patient’s family. Acts as a role model in patient care for families.
- Accurately records home health aide notes and itinerary within seven days. Submits mileage bi-weekly for all patients seen.
Requirements
