Job descriptionAs a member of the Kitchen Staff, you will be responsible for assisting to ensure the flow of daily kitchen operations. Duties include cooking, cleaning, taking inventory, and any other tasks assigned by the Kitchen Manager.Duties:· Provide training for volunteers in food preparation and safety· Provide supervision to volunteer workers assigned to the kitchen· Help the kitchen manager maintain supplies including proper stock, storage and handling· Meet the dietary needs of the program residents· Maintain appropriate interactions with program clientele· Maintain good organizational skills· Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of all kitchen tools and appliancesMinimum Qualifications:· Familiarity with prep and cooking· Creativity and critical thinking abilityStella Maris is committed to providing a non-discriminatory employment environment for its employees.The policy of Stella Maris is to fully comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations in the area of non-discrimination in employment.
