Job Overview
As a Packaging Operator, you will play a vital role in the packaging of agricultural chemicals under the guidance of operators and supervisors. Your responsibilities will include handling materials such as boxes and jugs, maintaining quality and productivity standards, and adhering to workplace safety and environmental guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various duties in support of formulation and packaging operations, including:
- Batching, labeling, pulling, capping, boxing, wiping, stacking, and more.
- Ensure compliance with site safety, security, and environmental rules.
- Maintain high-quality standards and productivity levels.
- Contribute to maintaining good housekeeping in the workplace.
- Regularly lift and handle materials, including items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Climb stairs periodically to complete assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be willing to work 10-12 hour rotating shifts and weekends.
- Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and follow instructions and training.
- Basic arithmetic skills required.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to pass medical evaluations, including respirator clearance (if needed).
- Physically fit: able to lift at least 50 lbs and handle physically demanding tasks.
