JOB SUMMARY:
Process Technician's job is to efficiently perform the task necessary to complete the work assigned to the Process Departments and to ensure effective conformance to quality requirements.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read small print and maintain strong attention to detail
Good spoken and written communication skills
Must be able to thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace
Maintain ability to think independently
Provide continual exceptional internal and external customer service
Maintain appropriate level of knowledge regarding manufacturing standards
Maintain a working knowledge of the chemical treatment processes performed at SMC

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical training in aerospace chemical processing, and racking methods (Optional)
Exceptional spoken and written communication skills
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Long-term sitting and/or standing, and walking with generally pleasant working conditions
Intensive writing and typing is required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to bend and kneel
Wearing of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when required/needed
Risks may involve moving hazards, hot surfaces, heavy materials, sharp edges,
chemical exposure
