Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for obtaining, managing and retaining dumpster customers that consist of both trash and scrap accounts. Compensation for this role is a base salary, plus uncapped commission, which is paid monthly. Business Development Managers have production goals that are reviewed weekly. The ideal candidate has a love for people and relationships and is highly driven and results oriented, motivated by financial reward. This person reports directly to the Director of Business Development.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Exemplify the SteelSmith Core Values (listed above)
· Continually grow a book of business for both the trash and scrap aspects of SteelSmith
· Manage customers and accounts from start to finish: Handle service requests, resolve issues or concerns, follow up of past due invoices, submit accurate paperwork, prospect future projects, etc.
· Achieve company objectives by planning thoroughly and hitting sales goals
· Operate at a high level of professionalism
- Be capable of spinning multiple plates simultaneously
- Thorough and accurate usage of CRM

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience: At least two years of proven sales experience
- A demonstrated track record of consistent, long-term employment
- Reliable and presentable transportation
- Willingness to travel throughout service area
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
