SummaryUnder direction of the Receiving & Shipping Supervisor, the Material Handling Tech is responsible for operating a forklift taking material then loading, unloading, and moving it to a designated area on the shop floor meeting customer requirements.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.Operating a multi-directional forklift moving material from one destination to anotherLoads and unloads material onto or form pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by handAbility to use an overhead craneAbility to read and interpret blueprintsWork closely with team members and communicates in an efficient wayBeing able to safely move material to specific destinations in the shopComply with safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all timesCheck work area for hazardsLeave work area in a clean/safe state when shift is complete QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
