Maintains the standards of nursing care as established. Participates and supports Quality Improvement activities and initiatives. Ability to prioritize duties and cope with interruptions, reorganizing work accordingly.

Duties:
- Advises patients of appropriate care when they call with medical questions and triages appropriately
- Maintains accurate, legible patient records, reports and any other documents
- Screens and prepares patients for examinations, inputting information into the EMR for the Provider/Physician
- Provides specific treatments ordered by the Physician/Provider
- Assists physician/provider with office procedures
- Maintains and stocks adequate inventories of supplies and equipment in exam rooms and nursing stations
- Schedules/performs diagnostic procedures as order by provider/physician
- Assists Medical Records by preparing and sending copies of appropriate patient medical records to other agencies
- Performs steps necessary for patient pre-authorizations for procedures and referrals with payors and medical offices
- Fax referral documents; assist with prior authorization duties
- Inspects exam rooms for cleanliness, orderliness, and proper stocking
- Demonstrate proficiency in administering injections to patients of all age groups
- Utilizes EMR for patient functions
- Maintains, answers, and returns patient phone calls with documentation in medical record
- Incorporate the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the patient
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a current Idaho Licensed Practical Nurse license or Idaho Registered Nurse License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire
- 6-12 months previous nursing experience in a clinic preferred
