Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and maintaining records. This position requires a strong understanding of financial services and excellent data entry skills. The Billing Specialist will work closely with various departments to facilitate smooth billing operations and support revenue cycle management.
This is currently a part-time position where you would work in the office. The hours vary around our billing cycle, which is twice a month.
There is opportunity for the right candidate to become full-time.
There is opportunity for partial remote work after successful completion of onboarding and the probationary period.
Responsibilities
- Process and manage billing transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and update billing records, ensuring all data entries are correct.
- Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies in accounts payable.
- Utilize accounting software for financial reporting.
- Assist in governmental accounting tasks as required.
- Support revenue cycle management by monitoring billing cycles and payment collections.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding billing inquiries.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a billing role, preferably within legal services or other professional service companies.
- Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
- Experience with accounting or legal case management software is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service and dispute resolution skills.
