Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Idaho Falls, ID, for a Senior Coding Manager. The Certified Medical Coder will review medical records to assign appropriate medical codes, ensure coding accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and changes. They will collaborate closely with healthcare providers and administrative staff, assist in resolving coding discrepancies, and support the integrity of health information management. The role also includes assisting with the documentation of medical procedures and diagnoses to optimize billing and reimbursements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Coding and Medical Terminology, including a strong understanding of coding standards and procedures
- Experience with Coding and familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance
- Active CPC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification is strictly required.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with coding and billing software
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with medical staff and administrative teams
- Minimum of 5 years of dedicated medical coding experience (Leadership or Auditing experience is heavily preferred).
