Industrial Electrician / Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our team! You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks.

Summary/Objective

The position is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in our industrial facility.

Responsibilities:

· Perform preventative maintenance on the temper mill, lasers, overhead hoists, forklifts and other equipment in the facility.

· Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical problems.

· Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

· Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning safely and efficiently.

· Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment and comply with all safety procedures and regulations.

· Other projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

· At least 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience required.

· Experience with troubleshooting AC/DC motors, electrical circuits, and programmable logic controllers.

· Familiarity with electrician tools and equipment.

· Ability to handle physical workload.

· Deadline and detail-oriented.

· Experience running conduit.

· Ability to work at heights.

· Experience in steel industry helpful.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and hot and cold temperatures. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Required Education

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Preferred Education and Experience

· Journeyman electrician license or equivalent.

· Laser, Plasma, and overhead crane experience a plus.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
