Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking to meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and safety protocols
- Support the kitchen team with manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices
- Serve guests efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accurate order processing
- Buss tables, clear dishes, and maintain cleanliness in dining and kitchen areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Participate in banquet setups and catering events, providing exceptional guest services during large functions
- Follow all food safety regulations and hotel or restaurant policies to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with colleagues and guests
- Experience with banquet service, bussing, or hotel food service is advantageous
