YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR SINKER OPERATION SPECIALIST
As a Sinker Operation Specialist, you will spend your day setting up and running EDM sinker machines to create high-precision parts that meet engineering requirements. You will read blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files to understand each job and choose the right electrodes, tooling, and machine settings. During the machining process, you will keep a close eye on performance, making adjustments when needed to ensure accuracy and quality. Part of your day will also include performing maintenance and troubleshooting on the equipment, checking finished parts with precision tools like calipers and micrometers, and recording production and quality information. You will work with engineers and quality teams to solve problems, improve processes, and always keep your work area clean and safe.
Here's what we need from you:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience operating Sinker EDM machines in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of materials such as titanium, aluminum, and tool steels
It's a plus, if you have the following:
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or medical device manufacturing
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards
- Technical certification in machining
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and G-code programming
