Steel Tool & Engineering is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality metal components and tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC programming, machine operation, and precision measurement to ensure that all products meet strict specifications and quality standards. As a CNC Operator at Steel Tool & Engineering you will work closely with engineers and production staff to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, optimize machining processes, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production. Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications and production orders.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CNC programming instructions for manufacturing parts.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to parameters as needed to ensure product quality.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery to prevent downtime.
  • Perform quality inspections using measurement tools to verify conformance to product tolerances.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve machining processes and workflows.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or defects to supervisors promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC operation preferred.
  • Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine setup procedures.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
