Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or EDM)
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Proper loading of product while verifying correct tooling and machine settings
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations
- Perform in-process inspections using various measuring instruments dictated by the operational work instruction
- Maintain tight tolerances required for aerospace-grade components
- Document production data and maintain accurate records for traceability
- Follow all safety procedures and aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100)
- Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting of setup, program, or machine
- Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to resolve issues
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred)
- 2 years of CNC machining experience setting up and operating equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
- Proficient use of measuring tools (Height gage, calipers, and micrometers)
- Ability to read decimals down to one ten-thousandths
- Familiarity with CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas)
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to multi-task and manage time to prevent downtime
- Standing for long periods of time
- Ability to lift over 10lbs
