Brief Description
The purpose of the Production Technician is to load material and operate machines to produce components according to building specifications and CUSA standards.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Daily planning
- Machine set-up and operation
- Safe forklift operation
- Safe machine operation
- Selecting the correct coil
- Autonomous maintenance
- Validating safety systems and estops
- Produce quality products within minimum specs
- Scrap management
- Throughput management
- Setting and tracking goals by using KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Autonomous maintenance
- Schedule fulfillment
- Scrap management
- KPI tracking
- Machine uptime
- Quality products that support quality systems and accreditation
- Knowledge and ability to operate the machine safely
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Good ergonomics including but not limited to standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pulling, and pushing
- Indoors, heated shop environment
