Orbital Welder

Job Summary:

The Orbital Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welds on stainless steel tubing and piping systems using orbital welding equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working in sanitary, pharmaceutical, food processing, or similar industries where hygienic welding and cleanliness are essential. Job Duties:

• Set up, program, and operate orbital welding equipment to perform high-quality welds.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding specifications.
• Inspect materials and welds to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and workplace best practices to prevent hazards.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and team members to ensure precision and efficiency.
• Perform quality control checks and documentation of welding work.
• Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues.
• Help develop designs for welding projects
• Use a variety of tools and equipment
• Position may include other duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor and/or management

Qualifications:

• Read basic measuring devices.
• Cut and form tubing and other fittings.
• Proficiency in orbital welding processes, techniques, and equipment operation.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, materials science, and welding symbols.
• Ability to work in high-precision environments and follow strict tolerances.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient in math - preferred.
• Willingness to learn - required.
• Work in a fast pace environment.

Pay Rate: $20/hr - $26/hr, depending on experience
