Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of welding and fabrication experience
- Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings
- Structural steel fabrication and welding experience preferred
- Proficient in GMAW-S and FCAW-G
- Experience fitting, laying out, and assembling structural steel components
- Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment including saws, ironworkers, drills, grinders, and overhead cranes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work well in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret shop drawings to fabricate structural steel components
- Fit, tack, and weld structural steel and miscellaneous metal products
- Verify dimensions and maintain quality throughout the fabrication process
- Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work with shop supervisors and team members to meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards
