Position Overview
Steel City Electric is seeking a highly organized and motivated Electrical Office Assistant to support our growing commercial and residential operations. This role is critical to maintaining efficient project flow, supporting field operations, and driving new business through proactive outreach.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, confident on the phone, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Administration & AIA Billing
- Prepare, submit, and track AIA pay applications and supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate project billing records and ensure timely submissions
- Coordinate with project managers to collect lien waivers, schedules of values, and backup documentation
Job Coordination & Scheduling
- Coordinate daily job activities between office and field teams
- Schedule crews, service calls, inspections, and material deliveries
- Dispatch technicians efficiently based on priority, location, and workload
- Track project progress and assist in maintaining project timelines
Communication & Office Support
- Act as a point of contact between clients, general contractors, and internal teams
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and service requests
- Assist with document management, permits, and project files
Business Development & Outreach
- Perform cold calling and outreach to general contractors, builders, and property managers
- Introduce Steel City Electric’s services and build relationships with new clients
- Follow up on leads, bid opportunities, and past contacts
- Maintain and update CRM or contact lists
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
