Electrical Engineer (Batteries & Power Systems)

The Role
As our Electrical Engineer, you will build the electrical architecture of our products. You’ll help advance our power systems, moving seamlessly between schematic capture, PCB layout, and hands-on lab testing.
What You’ll Do
- Design & Architect: Develop robust power electronics, battery management systems (BMS), and analog/digital circuits
- Prototype & Test: Design and test the PCB layout, custom BMS, and power distribution circuits
- Collaborate: Work side-by-side with our mechanical engineers and technicians to integrate hardware into our systems
What You Bring
- Experience: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. Advanced degrees (masters, PhD, etc) and/or 2 years of direct hands-on experience (especially startup adjacent) are a plus. Must be in-person in Monmouth, NJ five days a week
- Power Expertise: Proven track record with inverters, power magnetics, or BMS design
- Tools of the Trade: High proficiency with Altium Designer (or KiCad) and LTspice simulation tools
- Lab Skills: Comfortable using oscilloscopes, electronic loads, and thermal cameras to diagnose hardware
