Shift Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of food preparation and service. The Shift Manager will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests while driving operational efficiency.

Duties

• Supervise daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Manage staff during shifts, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Handle cash management and POS transactions accurately, utilizing systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Conduct inventory control to ensure proper stock levels and minimize waste.
• Train new employees on food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Assist in budgeting and financial management to meet operational goals.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service management within quick service or fast food restaurants is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Experience in staff training, development, and performance management.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS).
• Background in culinary arts or kitchen management is advantageous.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
