Duties

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
• Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and the use of cleaning equipment to maintain spotless environments.
• Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, linens, and cleaning supplies safely and efficiently.
• Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols and safety procedures, including understanding safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical agents used in sanitation.
• Ensure all areas meet sanitation standards by adhering to hotel emergency procedures and proper chemical handling techniques.
• Assist in maintaining public spaces by cleaning lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other common areas with attention to detail.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure guest safety and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is preferred; familiarity with hotel housekeeping management is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical handling is essential.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers confidently.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks efficiently.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all guests and staff.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards across all areas of the hotel.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
