Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of hospitality, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. The Assistant General Manager is also responsible for cleaning and inspecting rooms. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, support staff development, and ensure the highest standards of service in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing staff management
- Lead staff training initiatives focusing on, customer service, and operational procedures
- Coordinate shift management, ensuring proper staffing levels and efficient workflow
- Monitor production processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Support budgeting efforts by controlling costs related to inventory and labor
- Clean rooms as assigned or necessary
- Inspect rooms for arrivals
- Correctly post charges while checking guests in and out of the hotel
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes for new team members
- Assist in developing training & development programs to enhance team skills and performance
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain high standards of hospitality management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in front desk operations, assistant manager or supervisory experience
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to train & develop staff and manage teams effectively
- Experience in managing shift operations within quick service.
- Background in hospitality management or extensive hotel experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and provide constructive feedback
- Knowledge of inventory control, and budgeting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of quality
- Must be available to work any day of the week between the hours of 7am and 7pm
