This role ensures a memorable dining experience by taking accurate orders, delivering food and beverages promptly, and anticipating guest needs, all while maintaining a polished and professional environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming mannerPresent menus, answer questions about food and beverage options, and make recommendationsTake accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system (Toast)Serve food and drinks promptly and ensure accuracy of orders before deliveryCheck back with guests to ensure satisfaction and address additional requestsMaintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with health and safety standardsAssist with table setup, side work, and closing duties as assignedHandle guest transactions accurately, including cash, credit cards, and room chargesCommunicate guest feedback, low stock items, or service issues to management promptlyPromote hotel services, daily specials, and featured menu items to enhance the guest experienceMust-Have QualificationsPrevious working experience as a server or in a food & beverage roleExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to multitask and work well in a fast-paced, guest-facing environmentBasic math skills and POS system familiarityPreferred Qualifications (Not Required)ServSafe Food Handler certificationPhysical DemandsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per workday)Frequent exposure to hot beverages, food items, and kitchen equipmentExposure to cleaning chemicalsMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (e.g., supplies, equipment)Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsOther InformationFLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Reports To: Food and Beverage ManagerWork location: Onsite at The Garden Hotel, Fort Lauderdale, FL.Work environment: Food and Beverage outlets.
