What You'll Do
As the Maintenance Director, you will oversee the daily operation of the Maintenance Department while ensuring the facility remains safe, efficient, and compliant with all applicable regulations.
Responsibilities include:
Lead all facility maintenance operations, including resident rooms, common areas, grounds, and building systems
Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment performance and minimize downtime
Perform and oversee repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and life safety regulations
Coordinate vendor services and oversee outside contractors when necessary
Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and department documentation
Monitor inventory and order maintenance supplies and equipment as needed
Promote a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and employees
Collaborate with department leaders to support daily facility operations
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Two or more years of maintenance experience preferred, preferably in healthcare, long-term care, or commercial facilities
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance
Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and time-management skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to excellent customer service
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and reach throughout the workday
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as needed
Ability to use tools and perform manual tasks requiring hand dexterity
Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations when necessary
