What You'll Do

As the Activity Director, you'll oversee the planning and implementation of meaningful recreational and therapeutic programs designed to enhance each resident's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan, organize, and lead engaging daily and monthly activity programs

• Develop individualized activity plans based on each resident's interests and abilities

• Coordinate holiday celebrations, community events, outings, entertainment, and special programs

• Encourage resident participation while promoting independence and dignity

• Complete resident assessments, care plans, progress notes, and required documentation

• Collaborate with Nursing, Therapy, Social Services, and other departments to support resident care

• Coordinate volunteers, entertainers, and community partnerships

• Maintain activity calendars, supplies, and department budgets

• Visit residents unable to attend group activities and provide meaningful one-on-one engagement

• Participate in state surveys and ensure regulatory compliance

• Create an environment where residents feel valued, connected, and excited to participate each day

What We're Looking For

• Two years of related experience preferred, especially in long-term care

• Experience leading recreational or therapeutic activity programs is a plus

• Creative, organized, and self-motivated

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate individual who enjoys working with seniors

• Positive attitude with a strong commitment to teamwork and dependable attendance
