Perform all irrigation activities including, but not limited to, setting components, excavating and backfilling trenches, repairing breaks and malfunctions, and winterization of systems.
- Operate power equipment to perform irrigation services, including but not limited to trenchers, pipe pullers, boring units, plate compactors, line locators, drills, etc.
- Use irrigation hand tools including, but not limited to, shovels, spades, pipe cutters, rakes, etc.
- Communicate with immediate supervisor about any malfunctioning equipment and all site problems experienced
- Analyze property needs and provide recommendations for improvement
- Maintain a high level of quality, efficiency and customer service
- Troubleshooting
- Bilingual a plus
Desired Skills and Experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- 1-year experience preferred
- Backflow Certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Experience and knowledge of irrigation installation, service, start-up, winterization, and repair
- Previous experience operating a trencher, pipe puller, skid steer, and backhoe preferred
- Must have the knowledge and ability to properly identify irrigation problems and take appropriate action to make repairs
- Self-motivated, open-minded and a quick learner
- Possess strong social, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers and coworkers
