Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain conduit for dry utilities.
- Utilize heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, and forklifts for excavation and material handling.
- Perform utility locating to ensure accurate placement of pipes.
- Operate lasers to ensure proper alignment and grade of conduit systems.
- Conduct concrete finishing tasks as needed for trench restoration.
- Excavate around existing utilities with precision.
- Maintain proper trench depth, grade, and compaction
- Perform daily equipment inspections
- Work collaboratively with other crew members to ensure project specifications are met.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Support crews as needed when not operating equipment
- Meet daily production goals under the direction of the Foreman/Superintendent
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the electrical construction industry.
- 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience
- Familiar with OSHA standards and jobsite safety practices
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation, including backhoe, loader, and forklift.
- Familiarity with utility locating techniques and tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with concrete finishing is advantageous.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
- Job Sites: Throughout the Greater Phoenix Valley & Tucson
