Stateside Live! is where Philadelphia comes together for its biggest games, concerts and sports moments - and where private events can put guests directly in the center of that energy.

We are seeking a proven sales leader and player-coach to lead an already exceptional team and take an established private-events business to its next level. Instead of selling another traditional hotel ballroom, you will be selling multiple restaurants, bars and event spaces that give corporate clients, brands and planners an experience they cannot create anywhere else.

Located in the heart of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, Stateside Live! can accommodate everything from corporate receptions and holiday parties to client activations, VIP experiences and full-venue buyouts. The property’s location, energy and flexibility create extraordinary private-event potential - and a sales opportunity unlike anything else in the Philadelphia market.

The Director of Private Event Sales will shape how Stateside Live! goes to market, which business we pursue, how we package the property and how the team continues to grow its results. You will lead the sales strategy while personally developing major opportunities and representing the property with Philadelphia’s leading companies, planners, brands and hospitality partners.

One week may include a strategy session with senior leadership, a high-profile site tour and negotiations for a major corporate buyout. The next may put you behind the scenes of one of Philadelphia’s biggest games, concerts or citywide events.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Overall private-event sales strategy, revenue production and market positioning for Stateside Live! Private events
• Leadership, coaching, development and accountability of the property’s private-event sales and banquet team.
• Personal development and closing of strategic, high-value event opportunities.
• Team revenue goals, pipeline coverage, conversion, booking pace, average event value and forecasting accuracy.
• Relationships with corporations, associations, event planners, DMCs, hotels, tourism partners and community organizations.
• Pricing, packaging and selling strategies that maximize revenue while protecting profitability, the guest experience and operational execution.
• Weekly pipeline reviews, individual coaching, prospecting activity and performance reporting.
• CRM discipline, lead-response standards, account ownership and sales-process consistency.
• Collaboration with operations, culinary, marketing, and senior leadership.
• Strategic sales campaigns tied to Philadelphia’s sports, convention, corporate and entertainment calendars.
• Development of repeat business, preferred partnerships and long-term key accounts.
• Representation of Stateside Live! at industry events, sales missions, trade shows and market appointments.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Seven or more years of progressive private-event, catering, hospitality, entertainment or venue-sales experience.
• At least three years of successful sales leadership, coaching or team-management experience.
• A demonstrated record of personally producing significant revenue while leading others to achieve their goals.
• Experience managing a substantial event-sales pipeline and delivering accurate revenue forecasts.
• Strong Philadelphia market knowledge and established relationships with corporate buyers, planners, DMCs, hotels or industry partners.
• Sophisticated prospecting, presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
• Experience using CRM and event-sales platforms to manage activity, conversion and accountability.
• Strong commercial judgment involving pricing, revenue strategy, profitability and client value.
• The ability to work effectively with property operations and senior leadership.
• An energetic, hands-on leadership style suited to a fast-paced hospitality and entertainment environment.
• Availability for important evening and weekend client functions - but only when business requires it.
• A college degree is preferred but not required. Proven sales performance, leadership ability and market experience matter most.
