Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- Analyze tax laws and regulations to identify potential tax savings and planning opportunities.
- Maintain and reconcile tax general ledger accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Support internal and external tax audits, including preparing supporting documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
- Research complex tax issues and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact on the business.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, extensions, estimated payments, and other compliance obligations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, and external consultants.
- Train and mentor junior tax staff or interns as applicable.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (preferred or required, depending on company).
Experience:
- 3–5 years of progressive tax accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a corporate tax department.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Geosystem, OneSource, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
