From ballpark signage and promotional materials to social media graphics and community campaigns, our design team plays a crucial role in telling our story. We’re seeking a detail-oriented and creative Assistant Graphic Designer Intern to join our Marketing & Entertainment team for the Summer.
Position Overview
The Assistant Graphic Designer Intern will support the creation of marketing materials and digital/print designs for social media. This role is ideal for students looking to gain hands-on experience in sports design, brand development, and live event marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing creative concepts for marketing campaigns, theme nights, and fan engagement initiatives.
- Create and update graphics for social media, website, and email campaigns.
- Design print collateral such as flyers, posters, signage, and promotional materials.
- Maintain consistency with the FerryHawks’ brand guidelines and visual identity across all platforms.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Entertainment teams to brainstorm and execute new ideas.
- Help organize and manage creative assets for future use and reference.
Qualifications
- Current college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (InDesign and After Effects a plus).
- Experience designing for print production (file setup, bleeds, sizing) preferred.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Learning Outcomes
- Hands-on experience designing for a professional sports team.
- Portfolio pieces in digital, print, and event marketing.
- Exposure to live event branding and in-game entertainment design.
- Practical knowledge of working within a brand system and creative workflow.
Compensation
This is an unpaid internship; students must seek academic credit through their college or university.
