What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Museum Preparator Assistant position at State University of New York at Plattsburgh?
This position is expected to support the Museum Preparator with the packing, transportation, and installation of objects loaned to campus for an exhibition opening in summer 2026. The Art Museum collects, studies, preserves, exhibits, interprets, and publishes original works of art. We are part of the School of Arts & Sciences which provides excellence in learning opportunities for all students at SUNY Plattsburgh through a core liberal arts education. We develop students who can think critically, have mastered their discipline, can communicate effectively, and are broadly educated. The work schedule is expected to be Monday-Friday, 8:00a.m – 4:00p.m. This temporary position is expected to begin early-May and end in late-June.
