State Technical College of Missouri is accepting applications for a full-time, 11-month annual contract, exempt, and benefit eligible Nursing Lab Instructor/Laboratory and Remediation Coordinator to begin August of 2024. This faculty position coordinates and manages the nursing programs’ simulation and skills lab. This role also provides support for nursing students in theory, clinical, simulation and lab settings to improve comprehension, grades, retention and NCLEX pass rates. This instructor should possess and demonstrate knowledge of current procedures in the nursing field, and be able to enforce the institution’s policies and regulation.
Required Qualifications: Current undisciplined license to practice professional nursing in Missouri; minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in nursing with a clinical component; five years of nursing experience; certified in American Heart Association BLS and excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills. Must be approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing prior to appointment.
Preferred Qualifications: Comprehensive medical surgical, medication calculation and administration, simulation and remediation experience. Master’s degree preferred.
