What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evening Activity Center Program Supervisor position at State Technical College of Missouri?
POSITION SUMMARY
The job of the Evening Activity Center Supervisor is to oversee Activity Center sports programs 4 to 6 hours a week during evening hours. This position serves as the main contact for facility information and is responsible for safety, customer service, and following policy and procedures in the absence of the Activity Center Coordinator. The position provides guidance to part-time staff in the areas of the front desk, gym, game room, fitness center, member services, and other associated Activity Center responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this position successfully, employee must be able to perform each essential function and responsibility satisfactorily. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborate with other on-campus departments as required.
- Advanced knowledge of sporting activities such as basketball and volleyball.
- Use RecTrac to record usage of the facility and have an understanding of who is in the building at all times.
- Provide guidance for all areas of the building and delegating tasks when appropriate.
- Serve as point of contact for issues that arise in the building, complete reports as appropriate, report student misconduct to appropriate staff and liaison with outside emergency services as needed.
- Be prepared to answer questions from customers who are participating in Activity Center programs and events. Ensure customers have all supplies needed from their program agreements.
- Be knowledgeable about policies/procedures and be prepared to explain and enforce them.
- Review agreements, deadlines, rules, and compliance with associated leagues and affiliates..
- Perform other related duties as needed or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Organized and detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal and human relation skills
- Ability to effectively present information in a one on one and small group situation to Faculty, Staff, Supervisor and other part time employees
