The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove (WVHUG) is seeking an Office Associate to serve as Receptionist at our front desk. The Home is a 24/7/365 long-term care facility that provides comfort, support, and professional healthcare services to elderly or disabled veterans and their spouses. The Home is in Racine County, a short drive from Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and other key locations in southeastern Wisconsin.

Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Veterans Home Administrator (Commandant) at WVHUG, this position provides routine office/program support and administrative assistance to a multi-disciplinary team. Work assignments may be in support of campus-wide activities or specific interrelated functions as directed by the Commandant.

Salary Information
Starting wage is $19.10 per hour.
Office Associate is in pay schedule-pay range 02-09. Pay will be set in accordance with the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire. Starting pay for current State employees may vary based on applicable provisions in the Compensation Plan.
Job Details
This position works 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Overtime offered as needed.
Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment.
Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
A 12-month probationary period may be required.
