WRC is recruiting to fill a Program & Administrative Assistant position to provide program and administrative support for various departments within WRC. This position will work Monday to Friday, from 7:45am to 4:30pm.

As the Program & Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for performing paraprofessional work and providing program and clerical support duties in a variety of complex tasks requiring compliance with National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) standards.

The starting pay is $22.76 per hour, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former state employees is set based upon the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is classified as an Operations Program Associate and is in pay schedule and range 02/11.
Job Details
All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by WRC or medical personnel approved by the facility within 30 days of the start date.
Applicants must have the ability to type at least 45 net words per minute. This will be verified as part of the selection process. A practical computer exercise will also be part of the selection process.
DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire. DHS is not an E-Verify employer nor a STEM-OPT eligible employer.

Position Summary

- Providing consultation to and working in collaboration with the Administrative/Clinical Management staff to ensure processes that align with facility, division and department policies.
- Providing assistance, assessment, instruction and reporting of leave time in support of all staff and the Human Resources Department.
- Providing back-up data-handling coverage for the Security Office & Director's Office.

- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite for correspondence and document creation (e.g. Outlook, Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience providing administrative support (e.g., triaging phone calls, taking meeting minutes, scheduling meetings, answering questions, serving as a liaison, resolving customer issues, etc.).
- Experience performing file or record management duties (e.g., setting up, organizing, or maintaining filing systems, reviewing records or files for completeness, responding to requests to review files or records, making corrections or updates to files, etc.).
- Experience working in a secure environment such as a prison or correctional facility.
- Experience handling confidential or sensitive information such as personal identifiable information (PII) or health records information.
- Experience using computer programs such as TIME System, Indeavor, DOCNET, Internal Wisconsin Integrated Correctional System (WICS), PowerSchool, etc.
