Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal, policy, and procedural research to support the division’s projects and initiatives
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data from various internal and external sources
- Responsible for tracking legislation and providing updates to staff as needed
- Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations for internal use
- Assist in drafting memos, correspondence, and documentation for legal staff
- Maintain organized records, files, and databases in accordance with agency standards
- Provide administrative support including scheduling, meeting coordination, document management, and office communication
- Help ensure compliance with agency policies, public records requirements, and other applicable regulations
- Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree. Degrees involving research and writing are preferred including in public administration, political science, legal studies, business, history, english, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered
- Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in government, legal support, or a research-focused role (internships acceptable)
- Familiarity with legal terminology, statutes, or policy analysis
- Experience managing administrative processes or supporting executive-level staff
