What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health and Human Resources Specialist-BPH-Office of Epidemiology & Prevention Services-Kanawha Co. position at State of West Virginia?
Nature of Work
Under general supervision, the Health and Human Resources Specialist (HHRS) will uphold data management protocols to guarantee the precision of all HIV Prevention inventory, encompassing both internal and external partnerships; Ensure the accurate and timely entry of statewide HIV data from EVALWEB upon receipt in currently used systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting and tracking methods; Collaborate in establishing and adhering to a data quality assurance system; Track all inventory requests and maintain an order logs; Evaluate operational adjustments to enhance the overall procurement/inventory system for HIV prevention staff, etc.
Statewide travel is required to support HIV Prevention staff at several testing events per year as this position is responsible for fully supporting and securing all field items for testing events in cooperation with the current grant requirements. An up-to-date certification for HIV rapid testing is recommended for this role as a backup participant.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.
Experience: Two (2) years full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area that is related to the area of employment.
Substitution: Post-graduate education in a field related to the area of employment may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours for one (1) year of experience.
OR
Master's degree in social work from a regionally accredited social work program from a regionally accredited college or university.
Note: Appointment above the entry rate may be made at 5% for each six (6) months of successfully completed work as an intern in a practicum placement with the Department of Health and Human Resources for the Master of Social Work degree.
Other Information
One (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the Health and Human Resources series may substitute for the required training and experience.
