Employment Programs Interviewer 1 β Hancock County
At WorkForce WV, this position is in the Field Operations unit located in the Weirton local office. This position will interview customers to obtain information related to unemployment benefits or job placement and performs data entry to enter the information. Assists and refers available jobs to job seekers and refers to partner agencies for services such as transportation, training, etc. Works with employers to encourage the posting of job openings and makes appropriate referrals and verifies hires. Follows agency policies and procedures. Process job orders and follow-up with employers. Take phone calls from customers and employers. Learn about partner agencies and provide referrals. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Training: High school diploma or the equivalent.
AND
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment.
OR
Substitution: Successful full-time or equivalent part-time study from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience at a rate of thirty (30) semester hours for every one (1) year of required experience on a year-for-year basis. Vocational school training may be substituted for the required experience at a rate of 1080 clock hours for every one (1) year of required experience on a year-for-year basis.
