Work Hours and Partial Telework flexibility may be available and considered

Salary: $5,779.00 - $7,774.00 Monthly
The salary range listed includes a general wage increase of 2% for all state employees effective July 1, 2026.

Do you want to work with a team of HR professionals dedicated to providing expert classification consultation and outstanding customer service? We are looking for a Human Resource Consultant 3 (HRC3) who is analytical, detail-oriented, and committed to helping managers and employees navigate classification matters with confidence.

As an HRC3 specializing in classification, you will serve as a trusted advisor to managers, employees, and HR professionals. You will analyze positions, conduct classification reviews, interpret policies and regulations, and provide recommendations that support organizational needs while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and collective bargaining agreements.

We are looking for someone who brings exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and outstanding time-management skills. The ideal candidate can effectively communicate with a wide variety of individuals, build positive working relationships, and confidently navigate complex classification issues. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Responsibilities:
  • Conduct classification analysis and recommend appropriate classifications for new and existing positions.
  • Review position descriptions to ensure duties, responsibilities, and organizational relationships are accurately documented.
  • Interpret and apply classification and compensation policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Consult with managers and HR partners on classification-related issues and organizational changes.
  • Research complex classification questions and develop practical solutions.
