Salary: $5,111.00 - $5,928.00 Monthly

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of skilled/journey level building and grounds maintenance and repair work.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, vehicles, tractors, and other common facility maintenance equipment.
  • Use the agency’s facility management/work order system to input details regarding work needed and performed, and to manage facilities work planning, assigning, and monitoring of other pertinent facility-related activities.
  • Develop solutions to address repair and maintenance problems.
  • Supports contracted activities on DNR sites, providing oversight and review.
  • Enforces safety compliance, inspects contracted/vendor work, monitors progress, and completed work.

Required Qualifications:
You must meet all the Required Qualifications and Competencies to be considered for this position.   • (1) one year of experience as a journey-level worker in building and facilities maintenance, construction and/or repair work.
  • Basic understanding of Washington State Building Codes (SBC) and other applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and guidelines, to include ADA, OSHA, WISHA, and L&I regulations.
  • Experience working as part of a team.

  • Communication- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Professionalism and integrity.
  • Maintenance Assessment Skills- Accustomed to evaluating maintenance needs and preparing accurate estimates of labor and materials needed.
  • Construction Design- Accustomed to interpreting construction-related drawings, plans, technical specifications, and documents relating to facilities maintenance and construction activities.
  • Must have, maintain, and be able to apply a high level of knowledge relating to construction means and methods.
  • Competency and knowledge of computer software to include Microsoft Word and Outlook, web-based programs, and facility management software and applications.
