Key Responsibilities
As a Purchasing Agent You Will
- Prepare quotes, bids, requests for proposals (RFPs) and contracts.
- Manage statewide cooperative contracts.
- Assist in the improvement of policies and procedures for the division.
- Research market conditions, life cycle cost analysis, cost-benefit relationship analysis, and alternative supply sourcing.
- Assist in creating Purchase Orders and processing contracts in the finance system.
- Assist in contract management support of agency contracts.
- Conduct data analysis on contracts.
Minimum Qualifications:
The Best Qualified Candidates For This Position Will Have
- Experience using FINET (or CGI Financial) for creating purchase orders and contracts.
- Experience in contract management.
- Experience in public procurement.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Public procurement is defined as the contracting and purchasing of goods and services by a public entity, such as government departments.
