We are hiring a Program Administrator II to develop and direct programs to promote independent life skills for intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals in our care.
Incumbents are administratively responsible for programs, policies, operations, and related matters within an institution or for the development of mental health programs including implementation and delivery of those programs. Incumbents typically manage larger operations than Program Administrator I's, develop and implement program strategies, evaluate program effectiveness, develops the budget for assigned areas of responsibility and is typically a member of the executive staff. May provide medical consultation in mental health and/or coordinate clinical activities and follow-up. May coordinate and/or act as a liaison between agency or work unit and other agencies, work units, organizations, etc.
Principal Duties
- Supervising and managing the new internship program
- Clinical supervision
- Formulation of workshops, trainings, crisis intervention services for possible implementation into the community
- Development and implementation of curriculum related to Behavior Support Center and community engagement
- Civil commitment completion and coordination responsibilities
- Training and implementation on Trauma Informed Care
Development and implementation of best practices founded in evidence based or informed practices in the behavioral health field
Collaborative work with community, federal and state partners in behavioral health practices
- Holds a current LCSW license in the state of Utah (required)
- Have experience managing other Social Workers/Social Work programs (preferred)
- Must have at least 5 years experience managing & directing programs

- Develops, directs, and/or evaluates programs.
- Monitors and evaluates operations, programs, processes and/or practices for quality and effectiveness; makes recommendations for improvement.
- Represents the agency with federal, state, and local government units, in the media, or with private organizations.
- Monitors agency or program budget including revenues, expenditures and budget projection, etc.
- Makes final judgment with responsibility for decisions, including explaining decision in other proceedings.
- Coordinates and implements policy and procedure changes.
- Interprets, clarifies, explains and applies agency policy and procedures, business practices, federal or state laws and regulations, etc.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc.
- Supervises subordinate personnel including: hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.

- Monday to Friday: Schedule 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with Saturday/Sunday off, with some flexibility of hours.
