Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing, summarizing, and reviewing data; reporting findings, interpreting results, and making recommendations.
- Develops or modifies rules, policies, or standards, etc. Interprets, clarifies, explains and applies agency policy and procedures, business practices, federal or state laws and regulations, etc.
- Reviews fiscal operations to ensure integrity, accuracy and control of data. Manages special fiscal projects or activities of a highly specialized nature.
- Assist in the preparation, coordination, and review of responses to internal and external parties
- Complex reviews of financial transactions and programs to ensure compliance with state and federal policies.
- Generate, analyze, and present fiscal budget forecasts.
- Ability to ensure compliance with contract terms, policies and procedures, etc.
- Ability to use logic to analyze and identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions
- Skill and ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
- Critical thinking skills Knowledge of principles, theories and practices of accounting
- Knowledge of federal grant management and reporting
- Ability to prepare financial reports and documentation
- Ability to provide consultation and/or expert advice
- Skill and ability to plan, organize and prioritize time and workload in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines
- Have the ability to collaborate and work closely with various business, IT and management teams
- Detail oriented and meticulous in their work.
- Preference may be given to applicants with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or another related subject. At least 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
