We are hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide administrative leadership on the night and weekends shifts while overseeing the behavioral needs of the intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals who reside here.

Principal Duties
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst in this position will:
- Provide Administrative leadership during the overnight and weekend shifts.
- Be the Liaison for critical incidents during the overnight and weekend shifts.
- Provide updates to USDC leaders on issues that occur during overnight and weekend
shifts. - Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulation, and agency
rules. - Provide weekly and monthly reports required by the facility.
- Lead the team in crisis intervention and de-escalation with adults with intellectual and
developmental disabilities. - Think quickly in the moment and apply sound clinical judgement in a crisis situation.
- Oversee the implementation of behavior support plans.
- Create and maintain data systems, including regularly collecting data to track client
progress. - Provide support for the behaviorist team as needed.
- Provide or oversee supervision for behavioral staff as needed.
- Certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- 2 years of experience with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Documented expertise in crisis intervention
- Physical ability to participate in applying physical and/or mechanical restraints with other team members as needed for adults with developmental disabilities

Develop, train, monitor, and update behavior support plans, with a focus on developing positive behaviors, preventing problem behaviors, teaching replacement behaviors, and reducing maladaptive behaviors.
Act as a resource for management and staff; provide technical support within the area of responsibility.
Observe resident and/or client behavior in structured and unstructured settings to determine behavior patterns and functions of behavior.
Required to certify in the Mandt System including physical performance of the various Mandt Physical interventions and techniques. This includes the ability to train staff and to engage an aggressive individual using appropriate interventions to protect themselves & others with de-escalation as the focus.
Analyze and summarize data; report findings, interpret results and/or make recommendations.
Provide Administrative Leadership on nights and weekends shifts.
Collaborate effectively with members of the behaviorist team and other USDC teams.
Ensuring that all “Critical Incidents” are reported and addressed.
Overseeing timely crisis response and notifying the Administrator on Call (AOC) of any emergency concerns e.g. employment issues, campus threats, employee impairment, placing employees on admin leave, and concerns with the safety of individuals.
Attending and providing overnight status updates in leadership meetings.

Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Knowledge of USDC and other appropriate behavior intervention rules and regulations.
Ability to think quickly in the moment and apply sound clinical judgement in a crisis situation.
Strong foundation in applied behavioral analysis.
Strong skills in data systems; including data collection, analysis, presentation, and using data to inform treatment.
Flexible and adaptable team member.
Collaborate across the interdisciplinary team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of Google and Microsoft applications.
Experience in developing and implementing effective behavior support plans.
Experience in conducting thorough and efficient functional behavior assessment.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a current State of Utah licensure.
- Work requires physical exertion. May require to ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
- Risks found in potentially dangerous or unusual environmental stress situations. Institutional surroundings and hazards, including being subject to possible physical aggression, as well as physical and/or verbal abuse and/or exposure to ill patients, cleaning compounds and supplies.
- You must successfully pass a criminal history check.
