Seeking innovative candidate with knowledge and expertise in liaising with Advanced Manufacturing, Nuclear and AI and Technology Infrastructure targeted industries with considerable oral and written communication skills.

Job Overview

This position is an executive appointment working under the Deputy Commissioner within the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD) and will manage a state-wide employer-led training grant for incumbent and newly hired workers for companies in three targeted industries: Advanced Manufacturing, Nuclear and AI and Technology Infrastructure and oversee Tennessee Talent an Industry-Driven Skills Training Fund grant. The position is located in Nashville, Tennessee with travel all across the state. Responsible for providing direct navigation with the TDLWD Business Services Team, Local Workforce Development Boards, Training Providers, Employers and Employee Participants. To implement and deliver all parts of the Tennessee Talent Grant.

Key Responsibilities

1 Assist in developing processes to recruit, enroll and track eligible (Employer and Employee) participants within the grant;

2 Works extensively in database systems to track activities;

3 Oversees and monitor, and reports progress, provides communications to all parties as outlined in the grant;

4 Works with data unit and budget unit; Reports, Reimbursements

5 Travel to work meet and with employers, employees, local areas and educational providers to guide, connect and provide technical assistance;

6 Serves as a liaison between the department, the deputy commissioner and the community on the strategic vision for Tennessee Talent;

7 Maintains strong partnerships at state and local level;

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to four years of full-time increasingly responsible professional grants analytic work.
