This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Greater Greenville Mental Health Center, 124 Mallard St, Greenville, SC 29601.
Under limited supervision will provide outpatient services for individuals and families in treatment with Child and Adolescent Services.Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional I:
Provide long and short-term individual, family, and group psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and families in the CAF Outpatient Program.
Adhere to all Corporate Compliance, Outcome Evaluation, Research and Continuity of Care Policies and procedures. Maintain documentation of clinical services in accordance with State/Center Quality Assurance standards.
Participate in treatment teams, interdisciplinary in-service trainings, peer supervision, and attend all staff meetings.
- A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
Additional Requirements:
In order to be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health, applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care. This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience. Please be sure to provide specific clinical activities on your application and/or resume.
- Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
Post hire, employees must have:
- Thorough knowledge of methods, principles and practices of clinical counseling and education services.
- Extensive knowledge of psychopathology and patient management as related to psychiatric issues.
